WIPO Gender Parity Objectives
WIPO is committed to achieving and sustaining gender parity at all levels of staffing, in line with the United Nations Secretary-General’s system-wide strategy on gender parity and WIPO’s own Gender Targets, which aim to achieve gender parity at all levels of staffing by 2026.
One of the specific measures WIPO has adopted as part of its Gender Action Plan is the establishment of a Senior Female Talent Pool to facilitate the sourcing of qualified female professionals for both programmatic and support areas at levels P5 and above.
WIPO Talent Pools
The Talent Pools serve to ensure a pipeline of external qualified candidates for Professional and higher category posts, for profiles that are regularly recruited for and/or difficult to fill.
Note: WIPO particularly encourages expressions of interest from qualified women from nationals of unrepresented member states and underrepresented geographical regions.
How do the Talent Pools work?
The Talent Pools are open year-round to enable professionals to express their interest in employment with WIPO in a particular domain. The expressions of interest received will be reviewed by our recruiters with a view to:
- Contacting qualified professionals regarding vacancies that match their profile
- Sourcing candidates for temporary opportunities
Note: Registration in one of the Talent Pools does not guarantee employment with WIPO.
