Task Title: INTERN-ENGN19-Engineering Processes related to Instrumentation & Control Domain: Engineering Domain Department: Not Applicable Division: Design Office Division Section: CAD Infrastructure Section Duration (in months): 6 months Location: France, 13067 St Paul Lez Durance Cedex Description of tasks:

This internship will focus on the Instrumentation and Control processes, participation to the implementation of the necessary tools that are required for I&C Deliverables.

Task 1: Understanding of international instrumentation standards, design codes and their applications; Task 2: Participation in the review of P&IDs, Cabling Diagrams, etc.; Task 3:Provide support in the development of quality checks based on business rules; Task 4: Collection of mandatory requirements to be propagated to the project via technical document family cards (TDFC); Task 5: Update of existing documents referring to instrumentation rules based on the Industry Standards; Task 6: Organisation of technical workshops, progress monitoring, recording of projects on Confluence, follow up activities, etc.; Task 7: Participation in the meetings with commissioning and operations and assist process & software engineer in the related activities; Task 8: Support the AS-Built activities led by the design office.

The ITER Organization offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students with the objective of providing these students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study, whilst collaborating in an international, scientific and multicultural environment. Internship opportunities are limited to nationals from countries participating in the ITER Project (China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russian Federation, and the United States).

Please also note that interns are not considered staff members and shall, therefore, not have the status of “Staff” as per the ITER Agreement and the Headquarters Agreement (see more information on these constitutive agreements in Legal Resources). Neither the ITER Staff Regulations nor the privileges and immunities granted to ITER Organization staff are applicable to interns. The ITER Organization salary, pension scheme, and social insurance coverage do also not apply.
