Task Title: INTERN-ENGN13-Support in the integration of 55.GT with IMAS Domain: Engineering Domain Department: Engineering Design Department Division: Port Plugs & Diagnostics Division Section: In-Vessel Diagnostics Section Duration (in months): 6 Location: France, 13067 St Paul Lez Durance Cedex Description of tasks:

This internship will collaborate with current 55.GT (TSM) Tokamak Systems Monitor development activities developed under a framework agreement. The main objective is to assist the framework members with the integration of the TSM XPOZ module with the IMAS workflows and data types (IDS) Integrated Data Structure.

Task 1: Collect all relevant IMAS (Integrated Modelling and Analysis Suite) documentation and identify an existing workflow to use as reference; Task 2: Familiarize with IMAS standard rules and routines, and present them to the TSM experts; Task 3: Assist the TSM FWC (Framework Contract) in the definition of the TSM IDS (IMAS datatypes); Task 4: Support the integration of TSM XPOZ module with IMAS, and facilitate the communication between Science and TSM developers.

The ITER Organization offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students with the objective of providing these students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study, whilst collaborating in an international, scientific and multicultural environment. Internship opportunities are limited to nationals from countries participating in the ITER Project (China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russian Federation, and the United States).

Please also note that interns are not considered staff members and shall, therefore, not have the status of “Staff” as per the ITER Agreement and the Headquarters Agreement (see more information on these constitutive agreements in Legal Resources). Neither the ITER Staff Regulations nor the privileges and immunities granted to ITER Organization staff are applicable to interns. The ITER Organization salary, pension scheme, and social insurance coverage do also not apply.
