Task Title: INTERN-ENGN05-Simplification of Design Control Processes Domain: Engineering Domain Department: Central Integration Office Division: Configuration Management Division Section: Design and Configuration Control Section Duration (in months): 6 Location: France, 13067 St Paul Lez Durance Cedex Description of tasks:

This internship will be focused on simplification of design Control Processes, implementation of the recommendations from a recent Audit/C2D workshop, generation of KPI (Key Performance Indicator), reporting, root cause analysis but also implementation in tools and Templates.

Task 1: 1 month Familiarize with design control processes and associated/contributing tools, start collecting needs, requirements & suggestions. Support production of a Needs specification; Task 2: 1 month Support the analysis and proposals for update & optimization of the processes, database and communication with interfacing tools. Support production of implementation plan; Task 3: 3 months Assist in the follow-up of the implementation plan; Task 4: 1 month Assist in the production of a report on lessons learned and future possible developments.

The ITER Organization offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students with the objective of providing these students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study, whilst collaborating in an international, scientific and multicultural environment. Internship opportunities are limited to nationals from countries participating in the ITER Project (China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russian Federation, and the United States).

Please also note that interns are not considered staff members and shall, therefore, not have the status of “Staff” as per the ITER Agreement and the Headquarters Agreement (see more information on these constitutive agreements in Legal Resources). Neither the ITER Staff Regulations nor the privileges and immunities granted to ITER Organization staff are applicable to interns. The ITER Organization salary, pension scheme, and social insurance coverage do also not apply.
