Task Title: INTERN-CNST06-Electrical Installation Surveillance Domain: Construction Domain Department: Plant Construction Department Division: Field Engineering Installation Division Section: Electrical Sys. Within the Electrical System Installation Surveillance Section, the intern will contribute to follow-up the construction works in Buildings 32 & 33, and participate in checking that the installation is performed as per the technical specifications. The intern will also contribute to the Surveillance activities with an IO staff. And on a weekly basis, the intern will report to the Section Leader the progress achieved on site.

Task 1: Assist, on a daily basis, to site visits in order to check that the works are progressing as forecasted in the Resource loaded Schedule; Task 2: Assist in the writing of the Surveillance Program and the associated Surveillance records ; Task 3: Assist in the writing of weekly reports which will be sent to the senior management.

The ITER Organization offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students with the objective of providing these students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study, whilst collaborating in an international, scientific and multicultural environment. Internship opportunities are limited to nationals from countries participating in the ITER Project (China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russian Federation, and the United States).

Please also note that interns are not considered staff members and shall, therefore, not have the status of “Staff” as per the ITER Agreement and the Headquarters Agreement (see more information on these constitutive agreements in Legal Resources). Neither the ITER Staff Regulations nor the privileges and immunities granted to ITER Organization staff are applicable to interns. The ITER Organization salary, pension scheme, and social insurance coverage do also not apply.
