El programa de Voluntarios de las Naciones Unidas (VNU) contribuye a la paz y el desarrollo en el mundo a través del voluntariado. Trabajamos con asociados para integrar a Voluntarios de las Naciones Unidas cualificados, altamente motivados y debidamente respaldados, en programas de desarrollo, y para fomentar el valor y el reconocimiento mundial del voluntariado. Context

As a provider of talent solutions for the UN System, UNV constantly seeks to foster the diversity of its talent pool. The online volunteer will be contributing directly to the efforts of the Regional Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean in this regard, as well as support the Office in meeting the goals of the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS).

Task description

The online volunteer will support the communication team in the design and creation of (5) inclusive communication product for people with disabilities. The material should be created with inclusive content and language, you will also be asked to explain how to use the materials. The support will be supervised and guided.

Requirements

Required experience

The online volunteer requires a sound knowledge of and skills in the development of accessible communications products (e.g. through a qualification in User Experience Design). In this regard, a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of different types of disabilities is very useful. In their application, interested persons should clearly state their experience/qualifications in the field of accessible communications. The volunteer assignment requires fluency in either English or Spanish. Fluency in both (or fluency in one and working knowledge in the other) as well as knowledge of other regional languages, such a French or Portuguese, will be considered an asset.
